Cathode carbon block refers to the carbon block produced with high-quality anthracite, coke and graphite as raw materials. It is used as the cathode of aluminum electrolytic cell and built at the bottom of electrolytic cell. It is an important part of aluminum electrolytic cell, which is conducive to improve the production and service life of electrolytic cell. It plays the dual role of conducting electricity and forming the inner lining of electrolytic cell. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, molten salt corrosion resistance, good conductivity and thermal conductivity, high mechanical strength, good thermal shock resistance and strong sodium corrosion resistance. According to the quality requirements of products, selected raw materials and process conditions, it is divided into ordinary cathode carbon block, semi graphite carbon block and graphite carbon block. Ordinary cathode carbon block resistivity 50-60 μ Ω• m, resistivity of semi graphite cathode carbon block 15-45 μ Ω•m. According to the application position, it is divided into bottom carbon block and side carbon block. The bottom carbon block is built at the bottom, and the side carbon block is built at the side.
